Signs of appendicitis article

Appendicitis occurs when bacteria invade and infect the wall of the appendix. Appendicitis is considered a medical emergency, so it’s important to know how to recognize the signs of appendicitis and how to get help. Pain first, vomiting next and fever last has been described as the classic presentation of acute appendicitis. There is no clear cause of appendicitis.
If your doctor can’ t tell from the CT scan or ultrasound whether you have appendicitis, you may have exploratory surgery. The pain may first appear around the belly button and then move toward the lower-right area of the abdomen. Controversy exists as to whether imaging is required in patients with the classic history and physical findings of acute appendicitis. This patient should be admitted and put under observation and re-evaluate him/her each 6 hours.
